Aro had given Logan a new task, a new vampire to hunt. This time, though he wanted him to convince the vampire to join the Volturis, and not actually kill the vampire. Logan asked who would accompany him, and he was surprised to learn that he would have to go alone to hunt down this vampire that was 500+ years old. He later learned by another of the Volturis, Alec, that Katherine Pierce was known for her power of seduction, that was much stronger than the one Heidi have. Logan was one of the only that was able to resist the power of seduction of Heidi's, and thus that was probably why Aro gave him that task, thinking that he wouldn't be fooled by the one and only Katherine Pierce.
Logan was a hunter since a while, and he was good at it. Though, Katherine was also known to be never found. Still, Logan was one that wouldn't give up on his prey until it was found. Thus, he searched and searched, and finally learned that she was in London, England.
He took the first flight to London and prepared his tools, even if he doubted that he'd have to use them, as his task wasn't to kill her, but to offer her a place in the Volturi coven. When it was the night, he got out of his hotel and walked out in the London streets, looking around in case there was a vampire he could kill. Logan would never miss a chance to destroy a vampire, after all. He had his own agenda, along with Aro's one.
He had asked for a picture of Katherine Pierce, but Aro had told him that he would know when he would find her.
He entered one of th most reknown bars of London, which was ironic, as Logan never drank alcohol. He was spending most of his time in a bar but never did he drink a drop of alcohol, simply because he always wanted all his abilities to be able to function perfectly, as he was always in a bar for hunting.
He scanned the place for any sight of that mysterious Katherine when he widened his eyes, seeing the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. His jaw dropped, and he was almost frozen as he looked at her. Nobody was kidding when they told him that she was jaw-dropping. He swallowed hard, trying to get out of this trance she had given him, even if she probably didn't even know that he was there.
He walked to the counter were she was, and ordered for a glass of whiskey, which he wouldn't drink of course. It was only for the looks. He then slowly turned and looked at her. ''Katherine Pierce.'' he said, smiling a bit. He felt intimidated by her beauty, and he wasn't the only one. Most men were at her feet, after all. She was exactly as all the others had described her, though she was even more of a beauty than they had described her. Logan didn't think that such a woman, or well vampire, could exist.
''Logan Evans, nice to finally meet you.'' he said as he found himself taking a sip of his whiskey, then wondering why the hell he had done such a thing.
For over a century since fleeing from Mystic Falls, Katherine hadn't settled once, always on the move from place to place. It was the only time when she'd found a home, family and friends, but what choice did she have other than to sentence their deaths? Klaus had been fast approaching, and she knew that the Volturi wouldn't be far behind.
She had been running from them for over five hundred years, both wanting to either kill her or utilize her powers. What ever the end result was, Katherine wanted no part in it. She wanted to be free, not a part of their army, a weapon that would give either side the upper hand over the other. The Mikaelsons and the Volturi had been in opposition for God knows how long, and since they'd learned of Katherine's abilities, they had been determined to claim her.
So, Katherine did what anyone else would do if they cared about their survival. She informed the town's people of the vampire inhabitants in Mystic Falls, causing them to attack while she herself escaped, leaving many to believe that she had perished in the church. She hoped that Klaus would have believed the same, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. He had still been tracking her, but being as skilled as she was, Katherine managed to avail him at every cost.
To this present day, she was still on the run, and had come to London to meet with a witch she had known a few decades back. This witch would help her by performing a locator spell to find out where Klaus was and to also supply her with a new fake identification, since her other was more or less out of date.
She would be meeting with the witch, Sienna, in a bar later that evening, and so she decided that she would get there early, as she needed at least one or two refreshments after her long journey. It wasn't blood, but there was rarely a time where Katherine would let herself go thirsty. In other words, she was fully fed in that department.
Her natural eye colour was brown, but since she'd recently fed, they were now a bright crimson. Fortunately, Katherine always kept contact lenses with her when she knew that she would be in the company of humans. Before such a thing had been created, she had of course found an alternative to hide the red colour of her eyes. Otherwise, she would most definitely be caught. Obviously, that wouldn't be the smartest idea to allow a human to become aware of the Supernatural. It was breaking the law, in fact, and she certainly didn't want to give the Volturi a reason to want her dead, as well. Klaus wanted her dead for his own reasons – she'd sabotaged his plan to break his hybrid curse, but still, she couldn't be sure whether he wanted her dead or a part of his coven. Nevertheless, to play it safe was Katherine's best bet.
She was perched on a barstool at the counter as she sipped a cocktail drink, with men around her practically throwing themselves at her, which she found both amusing and irritating. For the most part, she let them, but if any of them dared to touch her, they would certainly not live to see the next day. Fortunately, most seemed too intimidated and starstruck by her beauty that they wouldn't even consider it.
As she heard her name being spoken, she tensed quite visibly, but yet the voice sounded kind to her ears. Slowly, she turned her head towards him, masking her fear with indifference as her eyes briefly scanned over him before locking with his. He was an attractive one, but that wasn't the thought that was rushing through her mind. Who was he? A part of the Volturi, or the Mikaelsons? How did he know her name? Only vampires from either of those covens knew about her, or so she thought. Really, her name was quite well known in the vampire world – for all the wrong reasons.
There was a glint in her eyes, the kind that showed she was ready to attack at any moment, though her expression remained as blank and calm as ever. She would only do so out of self defense, of course. Being on the run for five hundred years, you had to be on the alert at all times. "I wish I could say the same." she replied smoothly, her tone distainful as she arched a perfect eyebrow. "And who might you be, 'Logan Evans'?" she questioned, her eyes only slightly narrowed in suspicion. His name had a nice ring to it, and his face was just as kind as his voice, though she could never be too trustful, and she definitely didn't trust him as of yet.
